Abigail Larson is an incredible artist, I love how beautifully grim and bleak her situations and characters are. Her linework seems organic, as if she just let her hand go. It reminds me of 'Great Expectations'.

Sarah Burton's collection is remarkable. Whilst remaining loyal to the style of her late mentor she manages to inject something individual, something personal. It's obvious that so much love has gone into each piece, each texture, each pattern is so carefully and meticulously chosen. I wish these beautiful patterns would filter down onto the high street, they are fabulous, medieval chinese mixed with renaissance paintings, it's almost colonial.

Chanel's look is always impeccably put together, yet this season there seems to be a strong emphasis on colour with veins of bright hues spidering the classic suits and dyeing the cascading tiers of next years summer dresses. However, alongside this is a continuation of the winter colours of soft greys and browns. It's a difficult show to pin down but my eye was caught by the skin tight grey jeans, short shorts feathers (every where) and the shoes (still clunky and very wearable, basically clog heels or wedges with heavy embellishment).

Ethnic prints and
those boots ( I sort of wish that they had been in the Winter collection, I love them). The premise seemed to be that of a tropical summer holiday, very glamorous, leggy sorts on the beach. I loved that the flare and floof took place below the waistline. Believe or not, not everyone likes wearing empire line dresses, not when you have a diddy waist that you'd like to show off. This collection puts together sex appeal
and floof. Very satisfying.

I'm enjoying the angel/demon look that Acne had going on with Mirte Maas at the start and the end of the show. The wedge sandals are clean, simple and effective, pared down japanese. I think that what is standout about the Acne collection is their ability to turn a simple jumper or a skirt (wardrobe staples) into something that you want, you
need. Although I sometimes wish that the silhouette took into account the actual proportions of the body I think that the exaggerated shapes allow women to experiment and be modest with their dressing whilst also looking different and effortlessly cool. This has to be a good thing.
On another note, how incredible does Mirte Maas look in these photos, her skin and hair are glowing!

These simple Valentino dresses are delectable. They drape and fold in all the correct places and are fine enough to wear either on their own or as a layering piece. I think what caught my eye is the way they seem so delicate, especially with the matching patent shoes. The colour complements Freja's skin and dark hair beautifully, it gives her a honey glow. Wonderful.
The whole collection was awash with these ephemeral and glowing colours but if I could these are the two dresses I would buy. They are classic elegance, you could wear them for years. Beautiful.

Finally, Haider Ackermann... well, what drama. Referencing ancient far eastern cultures, Ackermann's show was a rush of classic black offset by flashes of the most brilliant colour. At once seeming decorative and almost military, Ackermann's clothes draped and flowed. Note the perfect use of silk and leather side by side, I think I'll be using that combination this winter!
On a completely unrelated note, if you're looking for some beautiful music to space out to check out Sofia Jannok, a Saami musician, her work is both tremulous and filled with such a depth of emotion. Incredible.
